Minimum age: 

Driver must be minimum 23 years old and must have the driving license for at least one year.

The maximum rental age is 70 years.

• Please note that we do not check the age of the driver when we receive a booking. If you do not meet the age requirements at the rental counter, you will not be able to pick up the car.

Driving license:

Drivers must hold a valid license for at least one (1) year. National Driving Licenses issued in EU, US, UK, Switzerland, Australia, Canada, Israel, Russia, Ukraine are accepted. An International Driving License is required in all other cases.

24 hours road assistance:

Roadside Assistance is free of charge and available 24/7. Our Roadside assistance partner is Mondial Assistance. Telephone: +30 6972294962 when calling from International mobile phones.

It is recommended to contact our office directly in the event of required roadside assistance.

Car replacement:

In case of the unfortunate event of an accident/breakdown resulting in the immobilization of the vehicle, the renter must contact our company immediately. Your car will be replaced with another one within 24 hours from the time the accident/breakdown has been reported. Our company has the right to investigate the causes of the accident/breakdown and deny the replacement of the car if the use of the car was against terms & conditions.

Traffic Fines & Law:

Any traffic tickets and fines which are received during the renting period are the responsibility of the renter. The car rental company should be informed about any such traffic violation or tickets for example:

• Neglectful driving
• Driving under the influence of alcohol
• Driving while intoxicated with illegal substances
• Driving in prohibited areas
• Evident disregarding actions to the car
• Red light crossing

In such cases, the renter is fully accountable for all charges.

Fuel Policy:

The renter has to return the vehicle with the same level of petrol as delivered. Vehicles delivered during the night (out of office hours), have at least half tank of petrol filled. This will be enough to drive you anywhere in the island. In addition our representative will be willing to guide you to the nearest petrol station.

Ferrying the vehicle & across the border rentals:

Ferrying the car to and from any island or mainland is not allowed. All insurances will be voided and the renter will be responsible for any damage caused if the vehicle is driven elsewhere than Crete Island.

Selection of particular car brand or model:

Bookings are subject to a specific car group, which usually includes several different car models with similar features. You can ask for a specific model after your booking is confirmed. We will add your model preference to your booking and we will deliver the requested model if it is available the day of your arrival. Please note that you must be prepared to collect any of the advertised vehicles within a category. In case you have a confirmed reservation for a specific car group and there is not any available car from this category, we reserve the right to deliver a vehicle of bigger category with no extra charge.

Unlimited kilometers

There is no daily kilometers limit.

Underside & Tire damages

CDW insurance does not cover underside the car damages as well as car tires.

All taxes included

Any VAT due is already included in the price. No tax is added when you pay on arrival.

Additional drivers for free

There is no extra charge for the additional driver but he should also have valid driving license and passport or ID card.

Free baby and child seats

We offer security seats for babies and children without any charge. It is the renter’s responsibility to properly install and fasten a child safety or child booster seat.

Free road map of Crete

We provide a free detailed road map of Crete to our customers upon your arrival. We can offer you a GPS Sat navigation device with the most recent map of Greece, with latin character map, available in 17 languages. The cost is 5 € per day.

Free airport parking at the car return

Leaving the car at the airport parking point, on departure day, is free of charge, and is the easiest way to catch your plane or boat.

Rental Extension

If you have already picked up your vehicle and wish to keep it longer, you must contact our company and check if the car is available. We have the right to deny the extension of the rental if the car is already booked. Please note that a customer is not allowed to bring the car later than the agreed return time without notify us since there is not any insurance coverage after the return time of the car.

Cancellation Policy

In case you prepay your reservation, no amount will be refunded.

If you wish to cancel your reservation, you have to send a cancellation notice email and receive an answer that we received your cancellation notice.

There is no cancellation fee if we receive the cancellation notice up to 3 days before the due pick-up date and time.

No-Show Policy:

If the renter fails to collect the vehicle within 2 hours of the agreed rental start date and time without any written update, the reservation may be automatically canceled, and the total booking amount will be charged.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is respected and we will not distribute your personal information to any third party which is not involved in your car rental enquiry.

Transactions Security

All payments made using the card are processed through the electronic payment platform of “Alpha e-Commerce” of Alpha Bank or of “Viva.com | Smart Checkout” of Viva.com and uses TLS 1.2 encryption protocol encryption with 128-bit (Secure Sockets Layer – SSL). Encryption is a way of coding the information until it reaches its recipient, who will be able to decode it using the appropriate key.

Car Insurance:

Includes in the rental cost.

C.D.W. (Collision Damage Waiver) with excess amount depending on category

Scooter – ATV – Buggy insurance:

C.D.W. (Collision Damage Waiver) with excess amount:

Includes in the rental cost.

With this insurance in case of damage the renter’s liability is limited to an excess amount, which is:

• 800€ for Scooters
• 2000€ for ATV up to 625cc
• 3000€ for ATV 850cc
• 3000€ for all the Buggies models

Guarantees:

Credit or Debit card guarantee is required for renting a ATV, Moto or Buggy.

For the car : Young/Senior Driver – Young Drivers from 18 to 22, Senior Drivers from 70 onwards : Credit or Debit Card Guarantee is required 1000€

Road Accident:

In case of a road accident, you have to inform our company immediately and also the police. The police will record the accident, and you have to get a copy of the police report. Without a Police report, the renter takes full responsibility.
